POWER CURVE
KIWIPROP™ PROPELLER RANGE RANGES FROM 14" TO 19.50" IN DIAMETER
NB: The actual maximum diameter at the end of the blades is approximately 0.50″ (12 mm) larger than the nominal diameter.
The most important propellers in this range are intended for motors or shaft power reduction and rotational speed options that deliver power of less than 75 hp at shaft rotational speeds greater than 1340 rpm.
At the entry level, the power at the propeller shaft must be greater than about 15 hp at a shaft rotation speed of less than 1400 rpm in forward and less than 1250 rpm in reverse. (The speed constraint in reverse is less important to account for the additional power required with the fixed propeller pitch angle of 23 degrees in reverse).
CAUTION: They are also not recommended in muddy anchorages or in areas where the water is permanently, highly saturated with solid particles because these situations may significantly compromise the lubrication of the blades on their axis.
